New Study Suggests Digestive Bacteria Linked to Depression


In the article at the above link, we see evidence from a new study that suggests a link between out gut flora and our mental health.  Science seems to be learning that the mind and the body can’t be separated!  Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine improve blood flow to the brain and gut, activate the parasympathetic nervous system’s relaxation response, and promote production of neuro-transmitters important to healthy mental functioning.  Taking care to nourish our digestive system with friendly bacteria may complement these effects!
